Plicnik Space Initiative

Plicnik Space Initiative invited twenty artists and collaborations to interact with illusionary spatial constraints and respond to spatial narratives aboard the virtual spacecraft D02.2. Monumental in scale, the D02.2 and its spaces caricatures museums and challenges functionalities surrounding institutional practices; the Reserve space humorously deconstructs a seamless white cube, and the Dehumidifier and Largescale humidifier — essentially a desert and rainforest — mirror attempts to preserve a perfect climate for artworks.
